Tana Poppino has had a roller-coaster year on the rodeo road, and the NFR has been no exception. Her bay gelding, Amigo, sent her sailing at the second barrel last night in Round 4, but in classic Tana style, she speaks out today on her fall and her game plan for the rest of the finals. Below are Tana’s own words on her run last night:
Trust in the Lord and lean not to the front of your saddle, especially when your horse is smoking a run! I guess I blew the average last night, not what I wanted to do at the NFR, but if you ain’t trying your guts out, you’ll never win big. I’m so proud of Amigo, he finished the pattern without me last night. Thanks for all the well wishes. I promise to do better tonight!
Love seeing the positive attitude. Glad to hear that Tana is not hurt. That first line is awesome!
You go Tana!
great she got back up, but Amigo didn’t finish the pattern by hisself
